The day before we got married

It seems like the day before you get married should be a memorable day. I was surprised when it wasn't. I skipped classes and went to lunch with my mom and sister. That evening, we went to his grandma's 80th birthday party. We left early because that seemed like the thing a couple should do the night before their wedding. As we drove back from the party, we talked over some final details of the next day. 

"I can't believe it's already here. We're getting married tomorrow."

He dropped me off at my house, kissed me goodnight, and that was that. My last day as Katie H.
